The Marin Girls Chorus Concert Division serves trained singers with the potential and passion to sing advanced repertoire with performances throughout the year. Members of the Concert Division are expected to participate in all performances, overnight retreats and tours. Opportunities for leadership and community service are based on age and maturity.
Choristers are expected to make a year long commitment.
An audition and musicianship assessment is required.
Choristers in this division typically range from 5th-12th grade.
Level IV : Davanti
“at the front”
An advanced ensemble serving young women with established skills and training in music and choral singing. Performance repertoire explores the breadth of choral music in multiple languages, ranging from classical literature to jazz, folk and popular tunes. Choristers in this ensemble will typically range from grades 6-12.
Rehearsals are Thursdays in Mill Valley from 4:45 PM - 6:45 PM
Level V : Fortissima
“very strong”
An elite ensemble serving our most advanced and talented musicians. Members selected for this ensemble must also be enrolled in Davanti and are required to participate in all performance and touring opportunities. Choristers are selected for enrollment each semester. Choristers in this ensemble will typically range from grades 7-12.
Rehearsals are Mondays in San Rafael from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
