Artistic Director

Born on Maui, Grace Renaud moved to Marin as a child and fell in love with the Bay Area. She attended Mills College (Oakland) for both her undergrad and graduate studies in pipe organ performance, studying under Sandra Soderlund. Grace has an extensive background in dance and plays piano, harpsichord, ukulele, Baroque recorder, and percussion. She sings and composes, and has been active as a music teacher, choral conductor, worship leader, and arranger in the Bay Area for over twenty years. In addition to being the AD for the Marin Girls Chorus, she is the Organist & Choir Director for the Spanish Mass at St. Mary's Cathedral (San Francisco), Music Director at Notre Dame des Victoires Church (San Francisco), Worship Leader for the chapel service at Starr King School for the Ministry (Berkeley), and Music Director for Bay Area Children’s Theater, (Oakland).  She was awarded “Best Music Director” in the TBA Awards 2016 for her work on Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site with BACT!

Her specialities are bringing out the voice of the individual and blending the voices of a group into a refined expression of harmony and truth through music. She has a special love for gospel choirs, and her favorite musical influences are J.S. Bach and Stevie Wonder.

When she's not performing or driving around the gorgeous Bay, Grace enjoys painting, eating organic fruits, and spending as much time as possible with her four musical children, who are the delight of her heart!
